Overview
Ferrari 550 Maranello | 2000 | Nero Daytona | Manual gearbox | Full Ferrari main-dealer service history
Finished in the deep, understated Nero Daytona and maintained exclusively within the official Ferrari service network, this 550 Maranello retains the combination every collector now looks for: a naturally aspirated V12 driving the rear wheels through a gated six-speed manual.
Description
The 550 Maranello marked Ferrari's return to the front-engined V12 grand tourer after more than two decades of mid-engined flagships. Launched in 1996 as the successor to the F512 M, it paired a 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 with a transaxle gearbox for near-perfect weight distribution, and wrapped the whole thing in a restrained Pininfarina body that has aged far better than most of its contemporaries. It is now widely regarded as the last of the analogue Ferrari GTs.
