Overview
Description
The Testarossa was unveiled the night before the 1984 Paris Motor Show opened, at the Lido on the Champs-Elysees. As well as being a true icon of the 1980s and 90s, it is one of the Ferraris that has shaped the identity of Maranello over the last forty years. It pioneered a new generation of style for the marque, drawn at Pininfarina by the hand of Leonardo Fioravanti: vast side intakes fed by the unmistakable longitudinal strakes, an imposing tail made wider still by the car's enormous rear track, and rear lights half-hidden behind a grille. The 4.9-litre flat-12 produces 390 hp, drives through a dogleg five-speed gearbox and takes the car to an enviable 290 km/h.
