Overview
Ferrari 208 GTB Turbo | 1983 | 26,000 km | 5-speed manual | Red | One of only 437 built
The 208 GTB Turbo was the first road-going Ferrari to use forced induction, a technology brought across from the company's Formula 1 programme. Only 437 examples were built in this GTB Turbo configuration, and this one shows 26,000 km.
Description
This rare model was shown to the public at the Turin Motor Show in 1982. It was the pioneer of its kind: the first road-going Ferrari to adopt turbocharging derived from Formula 1. Compared with its predecessor, the 2.0-litre V8 gained a KKK turbocharger and a considerable injection of power that radically transformed the car's character, rising from 155 hp to 220 hp. New side air intakes and a new front grille were drawn to match. Just 437 examples were built in GTB Turbo form.
