Ferrari 456M GT Manual

The 456M - M for Modificata - was shown at Geneva in 1998 as a thorough update of the 456. The changes targeted aerodynamics, cooling and the cabin: new seats, door panels, dashboard and Becker radio inside; new fog lamps, revised pop-up headlights, a new front grille and a redesigned carbon-fibre bonnet outside. The adjustable chassis spoiler of the earlier car gave way to a fixed item, while power was left untouched. The aluminium body remains one of Pininfarina's most restrained grand-touring shapes, wrapped around an ergonomic and unusually comfortable cockpit. The 5.5-litre V12 and its 442 hp made this one of the most powerful 2+2s of its generation, able to pass 300 km/h, and the 456 was among the last Ferraris to wear pop-up headlights.
