About the Ferrari 575M Maranello

Arriving in 2002, the 575M ('Modificata') took the 550's front-V12 GT formula and enlarged the engine to 5.75 litres, alongside revised styling, suspension and, most significantly, the option of Ferrari's F1 electrohydraulic paddle-shift transmission — a first for the front-engine V12 line, alongside the traditional six-speed manual.

Most 575Ms on the market today were ordered with the F1 gearbox, making manual cars a genuinely rare variant within the model. Either way, the 575M represents the peak development of the 550's platform before Ferrari moved to the aluminium-intensive 599 GTB Fiorano in 2006 — the last of the more traditional steel-chassis V12 GTs in this line.
